E100 000 MAXIMUM FINE FOR UNSPORTING CONDUCT

SOCCER – TEAMS found guilty of unsporting behaviour or conduct during the fourth edition of the Ingwenyama Cup should be prepared to pay up to E100 000 maximum fine.

This is contained in the rules and regulation of the tournament sponsored by the Sincemphetelo Motor Vehicle Accident Fund (SMVAF).

The knockout tournament will kick off tonight with the grand opening slated for the Somhlolo National Stadium on Sunday.

Article 10 (3) (d) of the rules states that assaulting a referee, match official, club official, player and or fans carries a minimum fine of E10 00 and maximum of E100 000. In addition the offending club shall be ordered to compensate the victim for any financial loss incurred due to the assault.

Meanwhile, Article 9 (9) states that any club walking out or refusing to play a match, whose fans, supporters and or officials invade the field of play, throw missiles or objects into the field of play, which would result in the match  stopping, the club in question shall be deemed to have caused  the abandonment and shall, if found guilty of such offence, by the EFA Disciplinary Committee, lose the match to the opposing club, as well as forfeit all its share of the prize money to the MC and be liable to a fine of E25 000.
