THREE days after announcing her departure from Matsapha Municipality, Gciniwe Fakudze has been unveiled as a new addition to the Swazi Mobile management team as Chief Customer Executive. Fakudze last Friday penned a heartwarming farewell to the municipality which she had served for 13 years as Chief Executive Officer. In her farewell message, Fakudze stated that it was time to move along to other things. She was unveiled yesterday at the Swazi Mobile Headquarters in Mbabane by the company’s Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jeff Penberton who was with Chairman Victor Gamedze, Chief Technical Officer Wandile Mtshali and Brand and Communications Manager Macford Sibandze. Making his remarks, Penberton said Fakudze was a good addition to the team in that she possessed a whole lot of experience in terms of working with people as where she had been before required her to interact with people from time to time. He further pointed out that Fakudze fitted the profile of the Chief Customer Executive and they believed she had the potential to help Swazi Mobile grow into the brand they wanted to be and realise its goal. “Fakudze is very experienced and we are very confident that she will add value not just to the team but to the company as a whole,” he said. Chief Technical Officer Wandile Mtshali also stated that he was excited by the addition of Fakudze into their team as he said not only would it be a pleasure and honour to work with someone of her calibre but her vast experience would benefit the company greatly. “We are vouching on her expertise and experience to propel the company to greater heights and help the company achieve its aims and goals,” he said. Fakudze, making her remarks after being unveiled, said she was ecstatic to be starting anew and said she came with no promises of self-delivery but that she would be a team player and work hard in building the Swazi Mobile brand. She has also won the coveted Business Woman of the Year Award Corporate and was one of the youngest CEOs of the land.
