UZALO’S MAMLAMBO, NKUNZI SHOW POSTPONED

By Nokwanda Sibandze | 2018-10-15

EMASWATI’S hopes to see Uzalo’s MaMlambo singing and draw words of wisdom from Nkunzi were crushed last Saturday as the stars did not show up.

Upon arrival at the Mavuso Trade Centre on Saturday this reporter was met with two security guards at the gate who informed me that there was no event set for the time and day.

The two actors were supposed to be special guest at the fundraising dinner made possible by a church called The House of Prayer for all Nations under the leadership of Apostle Buddy Msibi.

Nkunzi formally known as Masotja Msiza was expected to share words of wisdom whilst Mamlambo formally known as Gugu Gumede was going to serenade the attendees with fine tunes as she is also a musician.

Tickets to the event went for E200 for general entry, E250, E300 for VVIP and children under the age of 12 paid E100.

When sought for comment on Saturday afternoon Msibi’s phone rang unanswered up until yesterday afternoon after he had been notified of the intention to print.

The Apostle claimed that the event was postponed because the venue had been apparently double booked yet the security personnel said the only event booked for the Mavuso Trade Centre Pavilion two was scheduled for Sunday.

“We had a minor issue with the hall as they had made a double booking for the same hall,” said Msibi.

Msibi also said that the event is still on but they are still to confirm the date of the event as they are waiting for the hall to be vacant.

He also said that people who bought the tickets should not worry as they can still use them to enter the venue on the day of the fundraising.

“People can still buy more tickets and the South African actors are still to come to the event,” he added.
