SOCCER – Teams have been given more time to beef up their squads.
The Eswatini Football Association (EFA) has extended players’ registration to Monday owing to yesterday’s national elections public holiday. EFA Marketing and Communications Officer Muzi Radebe confirmed the extension of the registration window yesterday.
“It was agreed by the FA executive to have the window extended to at least Monday in respect of the national elections holiday,” he said.
The transfer window period was expected to close yesterday at 5pm.
Some of the big signings include Colani ‘De Nice’ Mngometulu who has joined Malanti Chiefs on loan, Siboniso ‘Rocco’ Malambe, who is now with Moneni Pirates from Royal Leopard and Manzini Wanderers’ striker Ali Matse, who switched camp to Young Buffaloes and all debuted for their new clubs in the MTN League mid-week matches.
