SWAZI MTN has once again partnered with Illa Pen Boy for his second edition of Gcwalisa Mogambo which is slated for September 1 at Esibayeni Lodge.
Revealing this partnership was Eswatini MTN Senior Brand and Sponsorship Manager Meshack Maseko during the Gcwalisa Mogambo launch which was held at Esibayeni Lodge on Thursday night.
Maseko mentioned that they as MTN support Illa’s upcoming show as it is one of the successful shows the rapper has hosted before. Maseko also confirmed Illa’s ambassadorship with MTN as he named Illa a gem of the industry.
The launch was also graced by Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture CEO Stanley Dlamini with South African Uzalo’s ‘Captain Mthimkhulu’s real name Sfiso Memela who was in the country over the weekend meeting aspiring TV producers, directors and actors, SWAMA representative Penny Bouwer and other entertainers such Mdura the Comedian. ENCAC CEO Stanley Dlamini applauded Illa for not giving up as an artist and believing in himself to a point where he ha attracted big companies such as MTN.
Dlamini also thanked the support the giant mobile company has given to the arts industry in the country over the years.
This year’s Illa Penboy’s show is coming with modern ways of buying a ticket as tickets are only available via MTN’s Mobile Money.
During the launch, it was also revealed that KrTC, Mozaik, 80 Script, Trippy King, Kangaroo, Symphony, Lyrikal Busta, Zoe Genesis, LomaSoul, Verse, Msizi, Denzel, DJ Wicked, Czar, The Scientists, Supa CDQ, DJ Lungstar, DJ So What, DJ Fantas will be performing.
It was also revealed that Mdura the comedian and Saneh will be the MCs of the night. Tickets to the show cost E150 general and E350 VIP. Gcwalisa Mogambo launch was also blessed with beautiful performances for aspiring artists who were tailored for the Lyrical Thursdays on that night.
