THEY are coming home.
Three of the country’s stars making waves in South Africa will be live on the Eswatini International Trade Fair stage.
These are S-tone who is signed under Sun El Musician’s music stable and has been touring and performing all over SA, TOS who is not openly a clothing merchandise maestro but also a globetrotting spinner signed under DJ Tira’s Afrotainment and lastly Zamo who has a new hot album titled ‘Inhlanyelo.
Other SWAMA registered artists that will join the above include Johannesburg based Sheejay Zoe, Big Dreams and Jazz P.
The above mentioned artists will be serenading music lovers on September 6; Independence Day at Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre Sport ground.
This was confirmed by SIPA Head of Trade Promotions Bongani Ntshangase yesterday.
This year’s EITF is themed around celebrating greatness.
Speaking to SWAMA President Melusi ‘Zox’ who is part of the team bringing the artists to stage, mentioned that this year they are all about celebrating shining stars. “We are celebrating our shining stars this year. It’s a really special year for the country and the arts have grown in leaps especially in the last past couple of years. We will use this amazing platform to remind the native Swazi just how talented local musicians are and how far anyone can take their dream. The first list of artists is basically made up of those that continue to wave our flag beyond our borders.
“They are all not based in the country and they are very excited to come and celebrate 50 years of Independence at the Trade Fair with us.
Most locals haven’t seen them perform in a very long time and all of them will be on the same stage for the very first time it is going to be a really special moment. More artists to be revealed in due course,” Dlamini revealed.
On another note, this year the EITF will see only one gospel Sunday which will be the opening on 2 September and the trade fair will shut down with a soccer tournament instead of another gospel Sunday as per usual.
