“THIS is me on the picture.”
These were the words of a civil servant named Henry Mabuza who wished to provide clarity on the nameless picture that has been making rounds on social media.
The man who is reportedly employed by the Ministry of Education said he wished only to eliminate the claims on some of the artists falsely identified in the picture by social media users who believed it was either one of them.
Mabuza claimed he went to Nigeria two weeks ago seeking the Prophet’s prevailing prayers. This is despite the fact that he does not attend any church in the country.
When asked to provide a picture in his traditional regalia to prove that it was indeed him, he claimed not to be in possession of any.
Mabuza said as soon as he saw the article published last week he wished to shift the claim on the blameless artists and confirm that he indeed donned his traditional regalia and set foot in Prophet TB Joshua’s church called ‘The Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN)
“I simply wish for the public to know that it was me on the picture and I am not ashamed of it. I went to Prophet TB Joshua’s church just like all other people who go there seeking prayers,” said Mabuza.
What drew attention to Mabuza was his traditional regalia and his face which seems to look very much like some personalities in the country.
Speaking in passing during the Mr Eswatini Crowning the CEO of the Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture Stanley Dlamini said he was not baffled when a number of people contacted him last week to confirm if he had attended a service in TB Joshua’s church.
Dlamini said maybe it was because he donned his traditional regalia often which is why some claimed it was him, “this means I represent our traditional regalia well, he said as he laughed off the claims.
