SOCCER – Mbabane Swallows midfield maestro Maestro Njabulo
‘D4D’ Ndlovu is Ingwenyama Cup Player of the Series.
Ndlovu received E15 000 for his sterling performance during the Sincephetelo Motor Vehicle Accidents Fund (SMVAF) sponsored tournament played two months ago. Ndlovu could, however, not get the chance to get his award during the prize presentation held at the Mavuso Trade Centre last night, as he is currently out of the country on national duty with Sihlangu.
The team is in Kenya where they beat HArambe Stars during an international friendly played in Nairobi yesterday afternoon.
Also winning big on the night was Swallows shot-stopper Sandanezwe Mathabela who received the Best Goalkeeper award and General Manager Sandile ‘Beyond 2000’ Zwane, who walked away with the Best PRO gong.
For his achievement the goalkeeper walked away with E10 000 while Zwane received E6 000.
Mbabane Swallows striker Sandile Hlatshwako and Manzini Sundowns’ Melusi Mkhwanazi shared the E10 000 Top Goal Scorer worth award after scoring four goal apeice during the tournament.
The presentation also saw the Mbabane giants receive their E1.2million in the presence of His Majesty King Mswati III, who is also the patron of the tournament.
Swallows beat police outfit Royal Leopard 2-1 at the Somhlolo National Stadium on March 25 to clinch their third trophy of the knockout tournament.
