â€˜PUPUâ€™ POSTS CRYPTIC MESSAGE AS WITS DEAL EDGES CLOSER

SOCCER – MBABANE Swallows dribbling wizard Banele ‘Pupu’Sikhondze has posted a cryptic message on social media as his move to South African ABSA Premiership side Bidvest Wits edges ever closer.

Sikhondze trained with Wits earlier this month and reportedly impressed the side’s technical bench headed by experienced coach Gavin Hunt.

The playmaker looks set to join Hunt’s side at the end of the local football season and on Sunday Sikhondze seemed to point out at his imminent departure when he posted a short message on popular social networking platform Instagram.

“Will always love these boys (sic),” Sikhondze captioned a picture of his Swallows teammates posted on the network.

Reached for comment on the player’s future, Swallows General Manager Sandile ‘Beyond 2000’ Zwane said Sikhondze was a Swallows player until the deal was ‘concluded’.

“Pupu’ is our player and he remains focused. He will finish the season with us and join his new team once the deal has been concluded.

We went together with Pupu to South Africa to push the deal and have returned. Pupu is with the team now, training and focused,” Zwane said.

Sikhondze will, however, miss his side’s MTN Premier League match against Malanti Chiefs at Somhlolo National Stadium tomorrow due to suspension.
