SOCCER – MANZINI Wanderers dribbling wizard Mike Dombo has dedicated his SwaziBank Cup semi-final man of the award to the entire Weslians family.
The Congolese-born player said this soon after receiving the E2 000 worth individual award following their 2-0 victory over Mabane Highlanders at the Somhlolo National Stadium yesterday.
“I am happy we won the match today and it was through the support from everyone in the team.
Their courage gave us strength to fight until the end of the match and we all (players) wanted to die for the team” he said.
The former Matsapha United player further stated they would now focus on the finals where they would take on army side Young Buffaloes.
“We will not get carried away by this win but we have to work hard. We have to sit down and plan for Buffaloes, who are a strong side. We once again appeal to our supporters to rally behind the team in numbers and we will try not to disappoint them during the big day,” he also said.
Goals on each half from Dombo and international compatriot Kola Aladeon steered the hub giants to their third SwaziBank Cup final appearance where they will take on defending champions ‘Buffs’.
