SWAZIBANK CUP FINALS ON APRIL 29

SOCCER – THE 2018 SwaziBank Cup finals will take place on April  28 at the Somhlolo National Stadium.

The 15th edition of the tournament will feature hub giants Manzini Wanderers and defending champions Young Buffaloes, who will be battling it out for the E1million first prize money.

This was disclosed by SwaziBank Managing Director Zakhele Lukhele during an interview after the second semi-final game was played at the Somhlolo National Stadium yesterday.

 “We are expecting the finals to take place on April 29 and we are looking forward to a great match between Young Buffaloes and Manzini Wanderers. We congratulate the two teams for making it through to the finals as well as Mbabane Swallows and Young Buffaloes, who will compete in the Under-20 finals.

“We are still waiting for the two finalists to compete in the women competition,” he said.

Lukhele further stated that they were happy with the progress of the tournament.

“The tournament has been proceeding smoothly and we commend the good behaviour and tremendous support shown by the supporters throughout the competition,” he said.

Meanwhile, Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs David ‘Cruiser Ngcamphalala thanked the nation for the supporting the tournament.

“We are quite pleased that the tournament has reached the finals and we are happy with the standard displayed by the teams since the tournament started. We further commend the support shown by the supporters since the tournament started.”

The minister said they were now looking forward to the finals.
