By Sibongiseni Zondi | 2018-03-22

SOCCER- HIS Majesty King Mswati III, the patron of the SMVAF Ingwenyama Cup, has urged Swazis to be well behaved during the finals of the tournament at Somhlolo National Stadium this Sunday.

The third edition of the Ingwenyama Cup, a tournament which brings together culture and football, will reach its climax this coming Sunday with the main attraction being the football final between defending champions Mbabane Swallows and police side Royal Leopard.

Speaking during a kit presentation ceremony at the King’s Offices at Nkhanini yesterday, Ingwenyama Cup Board Chairman Prince Hlangabeza delivered His Majesty’s message to the nation ahead of the highly anticipatedfinals.

“We should all police each other during the final on Sunday. Let us make sure that we keep the stadium clean and leave it as we found it. If you find someone has lost their possessions, do take it to the relevant authorities. His Majesty has asked us to emphasise that Swazis show unity on Sunday. We all want to go back after the finals happy, no one should go back having regrets,” he said. The Prince also reminded the nation that the match would be shown live on SuperSport thus good behaviour was a must while also wishing the two teams all the best of luck. “We have heard that there will be broadcasters from South Africa showing this match live. Now imagine appearing on TV doing something bad. His Majesty wishes all of you the best. He is excepting all of you to showcase your talent to the maximum on Sunday,” the Prince concluded.
