SMALLZ THE COMEDIAN FOR INSELELE THEATRE FESTIVAL

By Lusito Tsela | 2018-03-22

Smallz the comedian will take part on the upcoming Inselele Theatre Festival in South Africa.

The festival will be a three day event, taking place from June 15 to 17.

This was revealed by Smallz yesterday.

“I received a letter from the Youth Illusion Organisation of South Africa on Monday inviting me to the sixth annual Inselele Theatre Festival. Having worked with them in 2016, I was ecstatic to be given the opportunity. I feel very honoured because it shows that whenever I am working, people take note of my talent and good work, hence I have been called to perform at the festival once again.”

Part of the invitation letter read, “two years ago, Smallz the comedian, his team and other theatre companies around KwaZulu Natal attended our annual festival and it was a great experience for us. The comedy you presented was amazing and enjoyable; hence we would like to invite you to our sixth annual festival.”

Smallz added; “This will not be a paying show; however the organisation will carter for all logistics, in terms of accommodation and transport. Regardless that I will be performing for free, it is still a great platform for me to market the Swazi art industry.”

The comedian, who is fast climbing the comedy ladder, is currently touring with South African comedians in the likes of comedienne Khanyisa Bunu, Tsepiso Nzayo, Pelepele Mchunu and Hurricane Percy, to mention a few, in a show dubbed ‘Khanyisa Bunu and friends.’ He further passed his gratitude to all the people who have played a pivotal role in ensuring that his future in comedy becomes a remarkable one.

“I thank the almighty God for making everything possible. I know everyone has been praying for me to continue my quest of promoting my brand and Swazi comedy outside the country’s borders.”

The comedian ascended to fame when he won the LOL comedy competition and since then, he has been making a name for himself in the country and beyond Swaziland’s borders.
