As with many twins, the Nsingwane twins have strong twin intuition which is more emotional than physical.

They say they literally speak at the same moment and say the exact same thing, feel where the other twin is especially in familiar places that they have been to together and feel when the other is hurting which is mostly what we have all been told about twins.

Tandzile describes herself as a down to earth; humble being and she loves lending a helping hand to people however way she can.

The twins say they have been treated like the same person a lot and the do not like that very much.

Tiyandza says what she likes the most about her sister is that she is a hustler and she can get her way and get whatever she wants.  Tandzile says she likes that her twin sister is headstrong which can be a disadvantage but she likes it as it stops her from doing things she hasn’t really thought through.

Tiyandza is outspoken and loves meeting and interacting with people while Tandzile loves her space and being by herself. One other way to differentiate the twins is that Tiyandza is a girly girl who dresses up and likes make up yet Tandzile is a girly tomboy.

Tiyandza believes she is a good cook because she can use whatever ingredients available and prepare a great meal while Tandzile says she normally cooks everyday meals. Tandzile says Tiyandza has to be in a mood to cook.

Despite most twins being known for wearing matching clothing, Tiyandza and Tandzile do not have any matching outfits.

They just have a number of similar outfits in different colours and makes.

As twins who spend most of their time together, they tend to stick up for each when trouble arises at home. Tiyandza says they are generally well behaved people who respect their mother very much.

Tiyandza and Tandzile say there are so many myths out there about twins and they have been asked about a number of things such as puling the other’s neck causes the other pain.

The twins say the weirdest thing they have ever been asked was to kiss each other.

Musical Twins

Sibusiso and Mpendulo Mavuso are crazy twins, Creative; almost always like the same thing and they share an unbreakable bond because they value brotherhood more than anything, which is something their grandmother taught them.

Sibusiso commonly known as Charles P in the music industry is a hip hop artist who has worked with the likes of Prodigal Sons, Ncwiki, Silent bullet and Mvilas just to name a few, he has performed on big stages such as Solanis and SCOT fresher’s. The twins have decided to join forces and work together in developing their music careers with Mpendulo joining his brother on the beat creations side of their music. He goes by the name ‘CrayBra’ on stage.

Together these twins have released a track titled ‘The Man’. And they hope to take the industry by storm.

Many twins do not only look alike but share similar or rhyming names. This is not the case with the Mavuso twins who have totally different names.

Sibusiso explains that he was born first hence he was named Sibusiso and his brother was named Mpendulo because their father had prayed for two boys from the moment he learned that their mother was carrying twins. “When I came out first it was a blessing that I was a boy, then when my brother followed it was the answer that our father wanted when he prayed for two boys, “explains Sibusiso.

The Mavuso twins say their twinning habits are that they sometimes say the exact thing at the very same time.

The pair stays up all night chatting up a storm and they just talk too much which is something that always got them on to the noise making list whilst at school.

With the many myths out there about twins, Sibusiso says there is one strange myth that seems to work but is very weird. He says if someone has a sore neck and they can't cure it, when both twins twist his neck together that sore neck will be gone by the next day and he says they have done it three times with success.

Mpendulo say what he likes the most about being a twin is that he is never alone, no matter what, he always has his brother to trust and look out for him. For the Mavuso twins, being twins has been nothing but a great joy to them, sharing memories and life’s experiences together.

Twins are bound to share a lot of similarities and it is not different with this pair as they both love German cars , both love music, hip hop in particular, love animals so much, be it dogs or cats or even wild ones, both love football to death and enjoy each other’s company.

What set this pair apart are just little things such as Sibusiso is a lover of big hair and Mpendulo is good at fixing things around the house and electronics. Sibusiso and Mpendulo say they do home chores well together and making music which is what they love the most. Mpendulo musically is involved in the creation of the beats and Sibusiso develops the verses.

Getting to know the twins better:

1. What do you like best and least about your twin?

Sibusiso - I can depend on him with whatever, he really cares a lot, he's quick to think, he's a damn good driver, he knows me more than anyone and he's a go getter. Then least I like is when he farts while I'm in the room, hehe.

Mpendulo - He is someone I can also count on in times of need, he loves planning things first, when he puts his heart into something he really sticks with it, he knows me as well, like no one can define me like he can and he's very ambitious and driven and he truly believes in his dreams of becoming a big name. Let's be honest, we both fart so we're equal and we're both stubborn at times.

2. Ever switch identities?

Uhmmm, we once did in college, Mpendulo assumed the identity of Sibusiso and ate in the dining hall of the college he wasn't enrolled at without a problem whatsoever.

3. School classes, how did you prefer it?

We preferred to be in the same class even if we don't sit next to one another, but in Form 4 we got switched, one went to A and the other went to B; all because of noise making, hehe.

4. Is it true that you always know what the other is thinking?

Haha, well, we haven't encountered that bit we have had similar dreams and similar feelings when something bad is going to happen.

5. Complete this statement: “My twin brother is…”

The GREATEST HUMAN!

6. Who’s the good cook?

Mpendulo, because he can cook both starch foods and meaty foods.Charles is good at cooking quick dishes or frying meat.

7. Do you finish each other’s sentences?

To be honest, a lot of times.

8. Do you both dress alike?

We used to dress exactly alike but now we just like a lot of the same clothing so we can pretty much agree that we do dress alike.

9. Which one of you is funnier?

Mpendulo is funnier, he is the craziest.

10. Do you have a secret language?

Haha no, but when we were young, we wanted to make one up, but then puberty happened and we outgrew the idea.
