EXACTLY three months before the show and already over 1 000 tickets have been reserved.
Reserving a Hipnotik early-bird ticket is not by word of mouth but by cash.
With a golden lounge costing E10 000 it comes as a kind gesture of support from the public to the Hipnotik team that over 1 000 tickets have been reserved in only just a day after availability.
The Hipnotik Festival is slated for July 6- 7 and the early bird tickets are retailing at E100 general and E250 VIP for July 6 whilst July 7’s prices are E150 general, E350 VIP.
The golden lounge pre-sale price is E10 000. This was revealed by Swazi Jive Entertainment Director Sakhile Nkambule yesterday after he confirmed that reserving early bird tickets was only opened on Monday afternoon.
“We opened for reserving early bird tickets on Monday afternoon but it is amazing how over 1 000 tickets have already been paid for,” said Nkambule.
Nkambule said it was not a new practice that they open reserving early-bird tickets since they did same last year.
“We will then deliver the reserved tickets once we have printed the physical ones like we did last year,” he assured.
The period of reserving early-bird tickets is open as of Monday afternoon until March 31.
Nkambule urged patrons of the youthful festival to reserve their early-bird entries whilst stocks last as from March 31, tickets would then be selling at their normal rates.
“It looks as though the early bird slots will be sold out sooner than expected hence urge Hipnotik fanatics to reserve their spaces as soon as possible.” The Hipnotik Festival will be recording its seventh year in bringing all the international hip hop acts on to one stage this year.
Operating under the theme ‘Hip hop Heaven’ the youthful festival is set to unearth even raw local talent whilst bringing on to Swazi soil, international platinum selling artists.
During last year’s festival, the likes of Cassper Nyovest, Nadia Nakai, A-Reece, Fifi Cooper and many more largely followed hip hop artists performed at the festival.
Hipnotik Festival is one of the biggest festivals in the country and it stands out because it is made possible by a young person led entertainment stable.
The festival has not gone by without challenges and negativities but its patrons remain loyal and each year the number of attendees doubles that of the last.
