SWALLOWS DEFENCE VULNERABLE - BANTU

By Sibusiso Dlamini | 2018-02-20

SOCCER – LESOTHO side Bantu FC have promised to exploit Swallows’ defence during their CAF Champions League encounter tomorrow.

The coach said this when making his remarks during the team’s second official training session at the Somhlolo National Stadium yesterday afternoon.

The team’s South African native coach James Madidilane said the team had done their homework leading to the match where they had to overturn the 2-4 score-line which is in favour of the locals.

He said they were clear with the fact that Swallows pose threat when given space to attack but, on the other hand, their defence could easily be brought to shambles.

“We have done our homework for this match and we are very clear with the kind of team Mbabane Swallows are. I am not sure if they have done as much homework as we have. They will probably only be looking out for Moloisane (Peter) yet we have a few  more tricks under our sleeves.”

He said they would make sure they close down number 11 (Felix Badenhorst), 10 (Banele ‘Pupu’ Sikhondze), Wonder Nhleko and Tony Tsabedze.

“These players caused all the damage in the first leg, but we have a plan for them come Wednesday(tomorrow). Swallows is very strong when attacking, but their defence is vulnerable and that is what we will be looking to capitalise on. We must atleast score two goals by the first half.” he said.  Meanwhile, the team’s captain, left-back Thapelo Mokholo also echoed the coach’s words, stating that they will be closely watching the quartet (Felix, ‘Pupu’, Wonder and Tony).

“We now know Swallows very well, and will be coming with everything we have. We know they have very good players, especially when attacking, but then they will be under very close supervision because we also have to make sure their supporters do not intimidate us.”
