PEOPLE residing in the busy Manzini City and surrounding areas were hit by a water crisis yesterday following a major breakdown in the water supply network.
The problem which started on Monday led to many places which rely on water to run their businesses having a hard time to operate. The Swaziland Water Services Corporation (SWSC) issued a statement notifying its valued customers and members of the public in Madonsa, Moneni, Coates Valley and surrounding areas that they were experiencing challenges in water supply due to a major breakdown in the water supply network. The Corporation said their personnel were working around the clock to resolve the issue and water supply was expected to normalise by yesterday.
SWSC apologised to its customers for the inconvenience caused. The company apologised for the inconvenience caused by the water interruption. People living in these affected areas had a hard time as they were unable to use ablution facilities due to the unexpected water interruption. However before the end of the day yesterday the water problem was fixed as per the company’s promises. Worth noting is that just over the weekend residents of Manzini especially those around town were without electricity for the whole day.
