By Lusito Tsela | 2018-02-15

Songstress Zanele Cele affectionately known as Symphony has promised the best performance when she performs at the Sibebe Friday Night Live.

Symphony will perform during the second instalment of the competition which will take place on March 9.

The songstress during an interview with this publication yesterday said, “I am still preparing myself for the competition, I am glad I still have time as my performance is on March 9.”

When asked how the industry has been for her, she said, “The industry has been okay so far but as an artist, one cannot get comfortable in such an industry as it is not a friendly one.”

“One time you are the most talked about artist, the next minute you are not, which is the beauty of the industry because it motivates one to work extra hard to remain in the game,” she continued.

The singer added that for her being part of the competition means a great deal for her.

“For me being part of the competition means the judges saw good potential in me and I will make sure I give the best performance to repay the judges trust in me,” she said.

Symphony began her career as a professional singer back in 2015 and has had the privilege of singing for their Majesties at the King’s 49th garden party.

The songstress has also performed at the SADC dinner, Bushfire Festival, Swaziland International Trade Fair, Durban July and The Big five 24 hr party to name a few.

Symphony added that the Sibebe Friday Night Live platform gives her the opportunity to continue showcasing her craft because her dream is to continue shining till she is regarded as one of the world’s greatest musicians one day, which will also help raise the Swazi flag.

“Now I am here, everyone will feel my presence and I want to make my country proud by making history and also be inspirational to the coming generation of musicians,” she said.

Symphony will be sharing the stage with Copsy Mwans and DJ Cybos when she performs. The songstress added that she appreciates the love and support the nation has showed her so far.

“I want to pass my gratitude to everyone who has supported me till this far, it really means a lot to me and I won’t let you down. My fans should be on the lookout for my upcoming album which will be released soon tittled ‘Sengikhona’,” she said. She continued by saying, “I am excited about the album and I hope the nation will love it.”

The singer also passed her gratitude to the Sibebe Friday Night Live organiser for giving Swazis the platform to shine as this will help every artist to continue polishing his/her craft which also help in producing the country’s finest.

She also thanked the public for voting for her and encouraged them to keep voting for the Afrimusic contest is still open.
