SOCCER- Mbabane Citizens Coach Ikarbot Masocha is a happy man after his charges record a 2-0 win over Milling Hotspurs yesterday. Interviewed after game, Masocha who was leading the team for the first time taking over Herbert Maruwa said he was impressed with the performance displayed by the team during the encounter played at the Somhlolo National Stadium.

The Zimbabwean mentor commended his players for their hard work by booking a place in the semi finals of the SMVAF Ingwenyama Cup. "I am happy with the win and the performance of my team especially against a strong opposition. Our patience paid off as we managed to unlock them before half time seeing that they were playing defensively in the first half,” he said. When asked on their semi final prospects, Masocha said they would fight against any team in the last four. "It is not going to be easy in the last four and we will continue working hard in order to get good results,” he said. Meanwhile his Milling Hotspurs Counterpart Xolani Sigudla commended his charges for a job well done despite the loss.

"This was a good learning experience for us especially after working hard the previous stages of the tournament. I am happy with our showing on the day except for the fact that we failed to express ourselves for the duration of the match.” “We were destabilised by the first half goal as our plan was to contain and punish them in the second half. Things didn’t go our way but we have learnt a lot from the tournament,” he said.
