Some Ludzeludze farmers yesterday were happy to receive their fertiliser.
A truck from Farm Chemicals arrived at the Ludzeludze RDA with 180 bags of 232 (37) fertiliser.
Each farmer was to get six bags of the fertiliser, meaning the first truck was able to serve only 30 farmers, out of the approximately 300 farmers that went to fetch their fertiliser at the RDA.
Most of the farmers were not happy with such a scenario, as they were frustrated by the late arrival of the input from government.
But they were told to calm down as other trucks were going to pitch at the RDA to serve them the fertiliser they needed.
The farmers accepted that and helped in off-loading the 180 bags of fertiliser from the truck.
By 10am, the first 30 farmers were preparing to leave the RDA to their respective communities to do their farming duties.
Speaking to this newspaper, most farmers were relieved by the way things had turned out at the RDA.
The ones who received their fertiliser said they were happy that at last, they received their fertiliser.
Zenempi Maziya, one of the farmers who was at the RDA, complained though that time would be working against them as some of them had not planted their crops. Maziya was among the first farmers to get the fertiliser.
