DISKIBET SET TO TRANSFORM SPORTS TICKETING

SPORTS - DISKIBET is looking to redefine sports event management with its innovative online platform, which intends to transform how tickets are bought and sold in the country.

Promising to revolutionise the sale of tickets Diskibet is setting a new standard for convenience and innovation in the country.

The platform’s official unveiling took place at a media session at Tucasa Restaurant in Mbabane yesterday.

Diskibet Marketing Manager, Thuthu Mbingo laid out the company’s ambitious plans, emphasising the platform’s potential to enhance both event organisers’ efficiency and attendees’ experiences.

“Our goal is to simplify life for everyone involved in event planning and attendance, whether it is a small community game or a major sporting event, Diskibet makes ticket sales and management effortless. Organisers can track sales, monitor revenue and manage entry seamlessly - all in one platform,” said Mbingo.

For years, event organisers have struggled with manual ticketing systems that are cumbersome and prone to errors.

Mbingo announced that the plan is to ensure that users can buy tickets online using popular fintech payment methods like MTN MoMo, E-mali, and Instacash, with funds deposited directly into organisers’ accounts.

“This eliminates the need for paper tickets, reduces queues and ensures accuracy at entry points with scannable digital tickets,” she emphasised.

Mbingo also disclosed that Diskibet also working to bridge the digital divide by introducing a USSD code for users without smartphones or access to the internet.

This feature, currently in development, she said, would allow customers to access the platform’s services via basic mobile phones.

More than just a ticketing service, Mbingo also said Diskibet is positioning itself as a one-stop shop for everyday transactions.

The platform will enable users to buy airtime and pay utility bills.
“Our approach is holistic. Diskibet isn’t just about tickets. It’s about solving daily challenges with technology that is reliable, accessible, and transparent.

We invite sporting associations and individuals alike to try our platform and experience the difference it makes,” Mbingo explained.

This comprehensive solution, according to, aims to boost transparency in revenue collection and foster trust between event organisers and attendees, stating that as a result, sporting associations, teams, and individual organisers are being encouraged to adopt Diskibet for their events.

In addition to its practical benefits, she also revealed that the platform is aligned with the growing trend towards digitalisation, offering Eswatini a platform that rivals global standards.

“With features tailored to local needs and an emphasis on user-friendly functionality, Diskibet is set to redefine the sports ticketing landscape,” she said.

Mbingo then invited event organisers and the public to explore Diskibet’s offerings, promising ease of use and efficiency for events of all sizes, putting emphasis that with its focus on innovation and inclusivity, the platform could become a game-changer for the country’s sporting community.

Diskibet will be hosting a show later this month on December 20 where tickets for the show are already available on the platform, and they look to showcase the platform’s ticketing capabilities.
