HIP-HOP artist Sisekelo Sean collaborated with German producer Flow.fx and singer Milaa and rapper HUMBLETHEKXD to release La Despendia.

The song, released on November 15 rich in metaphor and creative unity, exemplifies the beauty of modern-day collaborations transcending geographical boundaries.

The German producer said “When Humble and Shawn hopped on that beat I sent them I knew that this one would be special.”

What began as an online exchange turned into an enduring partnership between the rappers and Flow.fx.

Sisekelo Shawn mentioned that he and Flow.fx first connected in 2022 through Instagram, a testament to how digital platforms have revolutionised artistic collaboration.

“Nowadays collaborating online has become very easy, even though Eswatini and Germany are thousands of miles apart,” he said.

Their first project together titled Gravity, launched in April and set the stage for La Despendia.
As the idea for the new song took shape, Sisekelo Shawn said he brought his friend, HUMBLETHEKXD, into the fold.

Captivated
Flow.fx said he was immediately captivated by their energy.
 “I, in the producer role, was instantly hooked by their raw talent and the overall vibe,” he explained.

As the production evolved, Flow.fx said that he introduced Milaa, a German singer with Congolese roots who has 1.6 million monthly streams on Spotify.

“Milaa really painted this imagery on a blank canvas, while Shawn and Humble both tell their own stories about loss, process, and winning,” he shared.

When asked about the meaning of the song Sisekelo Shawn explained that the song's essence, centered around water as a metaphor, encapsulates a deep trust in oneself and the pursuit of growth amid life’s challenges.

Flow.fx stated that La Despendia marked a standout moment in his career.
“This release is not just a song; it’s a testament to global creative unity, the power of online connection, and the magic that happens when talent from different corners of the world blend in perfect harmony,” he added.
