OVER 20 ARTISTS FOR HOLY GHOST PARTY CROSS-OVER

By Khetsiwe Khumalo | 2022-11-24

DR Rebeca Malope, Thinah Zungu, Jumbo, SiphoMakhabane and a couple of gospel artists will give fans well-blended music and keep them blessed for the entire cross-over service to be held AT Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre on December 31.

This was revealed by the show’s Project Manager Siyabonga Sukati during the official launch of the Holy Ghost Party Cross Over Festival, themed ‘YibaNemusaSimakadze’ organised by Kufeziwe Communications.

The launch was held at IF Lounge in Moneni on Tuesday.

All stakeholders, performing artists and Bishop Nash Shongwe, Linda Dlamini’s spiritual father were in attendance for the launch.

Sukati stated that the crossover event would commence at 6pm to 6am.
“The theme for this year’s cross-over is not just a theme but a call to prayer and praise for the nation. The Bible says when we humbly pray in faith and repent from our sins, he hears our prayers.

The God of mercy does not look away from our situation as His people but He responds mercifully to those who seek him,” he said. He stated that this was an invitation to the nation to join them in prayer and praise for victories and also trusting God for those trying moments as they host this year’s cross-over service.

“For us, we are not only preparing for the cross-over show but we are on our knees pleading for mercy from God. It should be noted that arts play a huge role in ensuring peace and tranquility in this season. Artists and musicians are a unifying factor in society and are there to heal and bring hope for everyone,” he added.

He detailed that 80 per cent local artists would be performing at the show. These are Shongwe and Khuphuka, Linda Dlamini, Phathwakahle, Lazwide, Ndawonye Christ Worshipers, Shiba and Travellers, Siphiwo Ndlangamandla, Nduduzo Matse, Gcina Masuku, Nothando Dlamini, Maphatsindvuku and many more.

Sukati said they were grateful to all organisations such as the Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture and the Association of Christian Artists of Eswatini (ACAESWA) for joining hands with them in putting together the show.

“We also extend our sincere gratitude to our sponsors; Letshego Financial Services, Destiny Group, 2022 Mitra Energy Eswatini and the role played by InstaCash,” said Sukati. He further added that tickets were already available at all MTN outlets countrywide, MoMo Market Place and can also be bought via InstaCash at E100.

“We would like to invite Emaswati to gather at the Mavuso Trade Centre on December 31 and join hands as we worship, praise and pray to God to have mercy as we cross over to 2023.
“It will be a historic turnaround moment for our nation,” he added.
