By Khetsiwe Khumalo | 2022-08-05

A surprise act is set to perform at DJ Tira’s birthday celebration.
The birthday celebration will take place at The Xchange Lounge and  Shisanyama and Lounge on August 25.

This was according to Mfundo ‘DJ Mfundo’ Mbhamali of Kool Swazi Entertainment. Mbhamali stated that DJ Tira real name, Mthokozi Khathi would be coming to the country to celebrate his birthday but would be joined by another who will be revealed to attending fun-lovers on the day.

The South African Deejay, record producer and Kwatio artist will perform for the first time in four years.

“DJ Tira has on many occasions declared his love for the country and has hosted his birthday twice in the kingdom. The first birthday was celebrated at Esibayeni Lodge and the last at Mayaluka Stadium in Big Bend. He loves it here and we are also happy to be bringing back his birthday celebration after some years,” said Mfundo.

Exciting news

Mbhamali said there were more exciting news for people looking to attend the birthday celebration.

He said they would also give away DJ Tira’s new release titled ‘Sikilidi’ featuring General C’mamane, Dladla Mshunqisi, Sizwe Mdlalose, Ms Mamellow and Miss Vee.

The Gqom artist said it would be fun to see DJ Tira drop this new groove in the country.
“Also enticing about his arrival is that the DJ will get to the venue earlier than expected.
“He will get to mingle, sign autographs and take pictures with people that would have paid to be in the VIP section,” he said.

The entry fee is E100 and E250 for VIP.  Some of the local acts to perform alongside Tira are Culolami, DJ Njebza, Sbu De Drum and Bisto. Furthermore, DJ Mfundo said fun-lovers should also expect that there would be a stall that would be selling Afrotainment merchandise.

DJ Tira in a trending video released a few days ago confirmed that he would be in the country celebrating his birthday.
