SOCCER - YET another Mbabane Swallows feather has been clipped. The seven-time MTN League champions and football fraternity are mourning the sudden demise of National Supporters Committee (NSC) Chairman Nhlanhla Motsa. Motsa passed away on Wednesday after succumbing to an undisclosed illness. Swallows Marketing and Communications Manager Mancoba Mabuza confirmed the sad news yesterday.
"Condolences to his family, friends and the entire Mbabane Swallows family. We're in touch with the family and an official statement will be released by the club soon," Mabuza said when reached. Giants The red and white giants were still recovering from the death of Management Committee member Thulani 'Kabasa' Lukhele, who died of COVID-19 about a month ago at the time of Motsa's passing.
Motsa replaced Jackson Dlamini as NSC Chairman under the Archbishop Bheki Lukhele leadership, having risen to prominence during the era of the late astute businessman Victor ‘Maradona’ Gamedze Swallows again recently lost seasoned officials, including two elders Hezekiel Mabuza and Mandla Dlamini, among others over the past year.
