‘SIKHALI’, ‘TT’ NAMED PLE’S BEST FOR JUNE, JULY

SOCCER - MBABANE Highlanders’ Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa and Mbabane Swallows’ Tony ‘TT’ Tsabedze were named the MTN Premier League’s best players for June and July respectively. This was revealed during the MTN player of the month (POM) prize presentation ceremony at MTN Golf Club House in Ezulwini yesterday, where the duo was awarded E6 000 each for their recent impressive performances. Meanwhile the First Division winners were Vovovo’s Mancoba Vilakati for June and Rangers’ Sandile Thwala for July, as each player took home E2 000.

Representing the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) was Executive member Charles Matsebula who lauded the players and teams for their commitment during the challenging COVID -19 period. “As the PLE we would like to appreciate all the teams and players for their continued dedication to playing during this tough period. Congratulate Without them the league would not be a success and we congratulate all the winners who were chosen today,” he said.

MTN Brand and Communication Sponsorship Manager Lando Dlamini also congratulated all the winners on the day and encouraged them to keep up their good performances. “It is very exciting to see football continuing amidst all of the challenges that have been there this season.

Well done to all the winners of June and July and with the season about to end, we encourage them to continue playing to their best,” she said. With four games left in the current season players will be hoping they can impress in order to secure the last POM award up for grabs.
