SOCCER - SINDI Dludlu has once again been co-opted into the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) executive committee. Dludlu previously held the same position.
This is according to a statement released by EFA yesterday.
“Pursuant to the non-election of a woman or female candidate at the recently concluded EFA executive committee elections 2021, the committee, in compliance with Article 35 (4) of the EFA Statutes has co-opted Cindy Dludlu as an executive committee member with immediate effect,” reads the statement.
This comes after the EFA executive committee meeting held on July 27. She has been co-opted for current period of the executive committee (2021 - 2025).
Article 35 (4) of the EFA Statutes, provides that; in the event a woman or female candidate has not been elected into the executive committee, they shall co-opt a woman as an additional member in compliance with the requirements for executive committee members as prescribed in Article 35 (6) of the EFA Statutes.
Dludlu, also successfully passed the eligibility verification processes conducted by the EFA Ethics Committee, as foreseen by the EFA Electoral Code for all members of the EFA executive committee.
“At this instance, EFA would like to express their congratulatory note to Dludlu on her co-option into the executive committee and supplementary extends her best biddings of prosperity as she executes her accountabilities in the governance, administration and development of the game of football.
EFA is of the belief that with her vast experience in the football game coupled with her professional proficiency, she will augment value and diversity to its governance, administration and development,” reads the statement.
