THE Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) has reportedly charged three clubs for breaking the 2020/21 MTN Premier League rules and regulations. The clubs are, namely, Moneni Pirates, Pigg’s Peak Black Swallows and Mbabane Highlanders Northern Hhohho based outfit, Black Swallows are charged for causing abandonment of the match against Manzini Sea Birds billed for the King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium in December. Moneni Pirates will also face the PLE’s wrath for causing the abandonment of their match against Mhlume Peacemakers. Meanwhile, Highlanders have been summoned after one of their officials (name deliberately withheld) reportedly uttered abusive language towards match officials during an opening fixture against Royal Leopard which was played at the King Sobhuza II Stadium. The trio will be appearing before the Eswatini Football Association Disciplinary Committee this evening at Sigwaca House. PLE Chief Operations Officer Pat Vilakati confirmed that the three clubs would be appearing before the DC. “Three clubs have been charged and summoned to appear before the DC tomorrow (tonight) but I am not privy to divulge the contents of their charges and they have been served with their respective charges,” he said.
