ARE you interested in being immersed in a new artistic and cultural environment, then this article is for you.
This comes after Pro Helvetia launched a call for applications for residencies aimed at cultural practitioners from Switzerland such as artists, curators, cultural intermediaries and cultural practitioners from Southern, East or West/Central Africa.
The deadline for this is March 10.
According to the website, residency provides the chance to gain broad insight into a different cultural context, establish connections with local artists and develop collaborations.
If this sounds interesting to you, Pro Helvetia is inviting residency applications from cultural practitioners from Switzerland and Southern, East and West/Central Africa (e.g. artists, curators, cultural intermediaries).
Artists and cultural practitioners in the fields of visual arts, design and interactive media, music, literature and performing arts, as well as arts practitioners with a transdisciplinary focus are eligible to apply.
The residencies last for three months at most. Pro Helvetia provides accommodation, daily allowances, professional supervision, travel expenses, a contribution towards production and material costs (on request) and a workplace (on request).
The following are eligible: artists and cultural practitioners in the fields of visual arts, design and interactive media, music, literature and performing arts, as well as arts practitioners with a transdisciplinary focus.
“We are aware that the global COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to great uncertainty.
Nevertheless, we would like to encourage you to apply. We will do our utmost to create a suitable framework and conditions and to support you in your activities and your process,” reads the website.
