GEDLEMBANE ‘MISLEADS’ FOLLOWERS

By Nokwanda Sibandze | 2020-09-30

COMEDIAN Gedlembane has been accused of misleading his followers.

The comedian posted a video celebrating his visit to South Africa. In the video he talks about how he was able to go in and out of South Africa.

He also said the fact that borders were closed was information he does not know.

Speaking to the comedian’s manager Simiso Mabundza, he said the video was taken in March.

“This video was edited by our IT person in South Africa. His name is Vusi Pinkwane. He edited the video for us, Gedlembane made a video recording on everything he said on the video and we sent it to him,” said Mabundza.

When asked why the video was taken down on the comedian’s social media platforms, Mabundza said he had not seen that it was no longer on the page,” he said. He said Gedlembane has not left Eswatini since March.

However, Mabundza said the comedian was working on a show which would be broadcasted on Mzansi Magic. “As soon as the lockdown regulations are eased, he will travel to South Africa to shoot for the show. He is also working on a number of shows that will hopefully materialise soon,” he said. When this publication contacted Pinkwane in South Africa, his phone went to voicemail for the better part of the day.

Gedlembane is famously known for his funny skits on Facebook, he recently started his own YouTube channel where he posts funny videos.

Gedlembane is also the new host of the Eswatini Online TV show, which seeks to promote upcoming artists around the country.

Since going solo, after his split with comedians Slwane and Smallz, the comedians has had a number of projects under his belt. He has also made peace with the comedian and has worked with them on a couple of videos.
