Sands has proved that he is still ‘The Golden Boy’ of Eswatini after his performance at his second album listening session on Saturday.
Sands left everyone in awe of his musical growth and presentation.
With bright lights and a full band, the crowd could not help but clap hands after each song.
Held at Mountain Inn hotel, the session saw music lovers gather to be the first group to hear the singer’s second project titled ‘Rhythm of Sands’.
Starting off the night on a high, the singer had everyone in the crowd dancing their heels off from the very first song. Sands also looked excited as he greeted the crowd with a huge smile.
His new album will be released before the end of the year.
Singing songs from the upcoming project, Sands rendered ‘Egoli’, ‘Imilingo’, ‘Botsotsi’ and many more.
He also rendered the fans’ favourite songs from his first album ‘Sands of Time’.
Singing ‘Vuma’, ‘Laphakami’ and others, the singer could not stop appreciating the support showed to him by his fans since the release pf his first album.
He said he could not wait for everyone to get hold of the new album.
The first single off the second album ‘Ngiyathandaza’ features Lesotho born music icon Tsepho Tshola. Tshola’s instantly recognisable baritone adds his irresistible signature flavour to the record. Speaking from his home studio in Lesotho recently, he elucidated; “Sands immense success and talent at such a young age has given me great joy”. The song premiered on Metro FM and has already peaked at Number 1 on Ligwalagwala FM charts in South Africa.
Before the man of the night took to the stage, rapper Llucid gave the crowd a taste of what he can do.
The rapper, who is signed under Kingdom Tales, definitely set the mood for the entire night as he performed his hit track ‘Note to self’. Although the crowd was mostly of a mature age, they were seen nodding their heads in appreciation of the rapper’s songs.
The event, as promised, saw all Covid-19 regulations followed by the hotel and organisers of the show.
Every attendee was expected to sanitise their hands upon entry, check their temperature and keep social distance from other guests.
