MS Africa Elite finalist Nomvula Msibi has been crowned Ms Elite Lockdown Southern Africa 2020 by Pageants South Africa and Africa Pageants.
Mr and Ms Lockdown SA 2020 was a first of its kind digital pageant hosted by Pageants South Africa.
It was open to public entry, as well as Africa Pageants finalists to take part in as part of their compliance scores that must be fulfilled towards the Miss/Ms/Ms Elite/Mrs/Mrs Classic Africa Pageants 2020/2021 finals.
"For the Mr and Ms Lockdown SA pageant, we had to enter by doing a video submission online and then the winners were announced by Pageants SA online in July 2020. I was announced as the winning lockdown queen for the Ms Elite category. I thought maybe I would be crowned -runner up if at all I do feature in the winning spots, but surprisingly I was announced as the queen in my category. It was so unexpected, but I am happy to receive my sash and crown - thanks to Pageants Eswatini Director Catrine Potgieter, who organised for it to be couriered into the country,” said Msibi.
The Ms Africa Elite finalist has been participating in monthly charity drives in her own community and beyond. She recently launched her online crowd funding campaign ‘Road To Africa Pageants’which profiles her pageant journey in hopes of raising funds through it from personal or organisational donors, so that she secures her place in the finals by complying with pageant fee requirements.
"The response I've received from my Road to Africa Pageants crowd-funding campaign has been amazing so far with just a few weeks into it,” she added.
She encouraged the public to continue showing their support by further making a contribution towards her crowd funding initiative. To view ‘Road To Africa Pageants’ and make your donation of any amount, please use the link https://www.backabuddy.co.za/champion/project/nomvula-msibi.
The public can further visit her official finalist page on Facebook Nomvula Msibi - Ms Africa Elite Finalist 2021 to follow her pageant journey and for all her updates and event details.
"I would like to once again thank all of Emaswati for the support they have given myself and the other Eswatini finalists Zama Potgieter - Mrs Africa finalist and Zinhle Xaba - Ms Africa finalist in this pageant journey for the African crown,” she added.
