The country’s finest in the model industry Coralee Vilakati has proven once more she has the legs and the walk for international run way.
Coralee emerged the winner in this year’s Miss Fashion Week Africa 2018, qualifying to represent Southern Africa in the United States of America.
Vilakati has been hoisting the Swazi flag high as she recently represented the country in Soweto Fashion Week with model Snowy. This time around she will not only represent Swaziland but the Southern part of Africa.
The excited model was never ready for the heart-balms as she shared her feelings on Social media, “Just made it to the next stage of Miss Fashion Week Africa, to go represent Swaziland in the United States of America. Yes I kept this to myself, lovely surprise. Thank you Lord. Thank you,” she posted on Facebook.
“I entered this competition months back, contestants with more likes got free registration to partake in Miss Fashion Week Africa. I managed to be in the top 50 and went through to the next round,” she said.
My interview was on Skype, I was asked to a ramp walk and luckily I was selected to represent Swaziland,” she added.
On another note, Coralee is expected to submit her portfolio before the end of business tomorrow; the portfolio will be used for Instagram voting to help her win the Miss Fashion Africa 2018 crown.
Coralee has urged her followers to like her picture on Instagram to help her win the crown.
“It is an honour for me to be where I am in my career. I know I have to push myself hard, urge the nation to vote for me and hope for the best,” she added.
It is worth noting that Vilakati is the first local model to be selected for Miss Fashion Africa 2018, and she is making the country proud while putting it on the map in the modeling industry.
Miss Fashion Week is an international model contest for all models. The contest is judged in five sub-categories: Runway walk, Photo shoot (images), Swimwear, Overall appearance (looks) and interview. Miss Fashion Week offers everyone the opportunity to chase their dreams. Five winners from Africa representing the five regions of Africa will proceed to the grand finale in Florida, USA. Prizes and Rewards: The five finalists from Africa will receive the following goodies: E 14 000 each, (plus opportunity to win the E 70 000 grand finale cash prize).
