BULL SET TO SIGN ‘NEYMAR’

By Melusi Mlotsa | 2020-06-30

SOCCER - CAPITAL city giants Mbabane Highlanders are set to sign ABC Motsepe outfit Ally Tigers highly-rated attacking midfielder Kabelo 'Neymar' Ngwako.

Information gathered from a source close to the matter is to the effect that should the Leon Manyisa deal fail to go through, 'Neymar' will come on board.

The South Africa-born midfielder is set to undergo trials in Europe but Highlanders boss Ally Kgomongwe might be forced to bring him back at the beginning of the upcoming season.

Highlanders are one of the teams vying for Manyisa’s signature.

“With Manyisa not indicating whether he wants to join Highlanders or not, 'Neymar' is the best option," said the source. Kgomongwe also confirmed the latest when contacted about the South African.

He said he would bring 'Neymar’ for the upcoming season. "Look, I have been patiently waiting for Manyisa but nothing seems to be materialising and I am now forced to bring 'Neymar'. He is a much talented player and is destined for Europe trials," he said. Kgomongwe made it clear that he would beef up the squad for the upcoming season. Meanwhile, former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Gert Schalkwayk also spoke highly of ‘Neymar’.

He said Europe is calling for the talented youngster. “To be honest with you, that boy is really good at what he does. In actual fact, the boy deserves to be playing in the PSL or Europe by now. I am coaching a team from North West Province and we once played against them and this ‘Neymar’ gave us a tough time. That boy is just something else. He was just all over us and we could not contain him. He knows how to run, dribble and go past defender, with ease. He makes football look so easy. He needs to be mentored well," he said.
