KOLA WISHES TO BE WANDERERS DIRECTOR

By Colisile Sacolo | 2020-05-27

SOCCER - FORMER Wanderers and Mbabane Swallows player Kola Aladeon says his wish is to be the director at the hug giants one day.

The Nigeria-born player is currently playing for Zambian Premier League Forest Rangers based in Ndola. The player said his dream was to be a Manzini Wanderers director because he had so much respect for the Weslians.

"My wish is to help the team financially and I hope the Almighty God will help me fulfill my dream. I just love Manzini Wanderers and I wish the team all the best,” he said. Kola said Manzini Wanderers were a big brand and a marketable team which could be assisted.

He said he wanted to see the team regaining its glory days. "We all know that Wanderers is a big team with good players.

Mine is just to encourage every player in the team to continue working hard. Results will come; they just have to remain focused.” Meanwhile, the player lamented the unceremonious exit of the Weslians’ independent executive Director Mehluli Nhlengetfwa at the maroon and white ensemble.

He said Nhlengetfwa was the right man for the team as he brought financial stability during his two-year stay with the ailing hub giants. Wanderers are currently going through financial woes since the exit of Nhlengetfwa in December which has resulted in the players not being paid their salaries for about five months.

“I think the departure of Nhlengetfwa was a huge blow for the team as he paid players on time and further brought good players.

I think the club needs someone, who will pump in money like him and he should not be disturbed when executing his duties. Aladeon spent three seasons at the hub giants before joining Swallows and later on made a move to Zambian giants Zesco United.

He is currently on a six-month contract with Zambian Premier League side Forest Rangers which he signed during the December/January transfer window.
