First National Bank (FNB) Eswatini customers will have to wait a while before they can push money from their bank accounts to MTN Mobile Money (MoMo) wallets.
MTN Eswatini stated earlier this week that their customers would now be able to push money from accounts to their wallets following a partnership with the country’s commercial banks, a facility meant to, amongst other issues, eliminate the need to travel just to move money.
However, FNB Head of marketing Zethu Dlamini said in a statement that they were still to meet with the communications company to finalise agreements on the issue. Noted “We have noted that there are advertisements and media reports suggesting that FNB platforms can be used to purchase MoMo.
FNB notes that this would be a fantastic development but the stakeholders still needed to finalise agreements before this can happen,” she said.
She added that the appropriate confirmation would be issued once MTN and FNB have finalised the outstanding issues,” she said.
