WANDERERS OWE ME E24 000

By Melusi Mlotsa | 2020-01-28

SOCCER - TRANSFERED Manzini Wanderers top striker Mfan’fikile ‘Fash’ Ndzimandze claims the team owes him E24 000.

Ndzimandze has been conspicuously missing from the team since the beginning of the second round.

He was transferred last week alongside Juries Gama, Nathi Mkhonta and Laurent Abah.

Breaking his silence after the sacking, the player said he decided to shun the team’s activities due to the fact that they failed to pay him for two months (November and December salaries).

He is also threatening to take legal action if the team fails to settle the outstanding amount.

“Wanderers owe me November and December salaries. They also owe me a signing on fee amounting to E10 000. In total, they are supposed to pay me E24 000. This is the only reason I decided to stay at home,” he said.

The player said it was hard to continue at the team due to unfulfilled promises.

Ndzimandze further said he would now weigh his options before deciding which team to join before the January transfer window closes at the end of the week.

“I have a few options and it’s now a matter of joining the team with a better offer. It’s not about money but again players need money too.”

Manzini Wanderers Chief Executive Officer Sandile ’Ntofo’ Dlamini said the player knew the right channels to follow if he had grievances.

“This is not for media consumption. ‘Fash’ should follow the right channels rather than going to the media,” he said.

Meanwhile, the hub giants are working around the clock to sign Mhlume Peacemakers’ goalkeeper Innocent Adja after he was released by the sugar-belt side recently. The team lost 1-3 during their MTN Premier League match against Green Mamba on Saturday.
