SCORPION Kings, Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa will be in Eswatini on March 14 at Solani’s Shisanyama.
This was confirmed by Solani’s Shisanyama Entertainment PRO Thandukazi Hadebe yesterday. Hadebe said the duo would be headlining Ayacity’s birthday celebration.The duo has brought hit singles such as ‘Vula Vala’, ‘Akulaleki’ and most recently, chart blazers such as ‘Lotch’ and ‘Sandton’.
‘Scorpion Kings’ will be in the kingdom for the first time as a duo and have promised nothing short of a memorable performance which will definitely set the tone for the year,” he said. Hadebe said the event will not only be a celebration of Solani’s resident DJ, AyaCity, but would also celebrate ‘amapiano’ as a genre and a lifestyle. The duo is currently making waves in South Africa and other countries.
They have been dropping songs since they started being a duo. They even dropped ‘Scorpion Kings 2’ which also made waves with their songs ‘Nana Thula’, ‘Sandton’, ‘Gibela’ and more.
They recently dropped a song titled ‘Poyisa’ where they featured South African hip hop star Cassper Nyovest. ‘The Scorpion Kings 2’ features some of South Africa’s biggest names, including Busiswa, Kamazu, Thandiswa Mazwai, Mas Musiq, Samthing Soweto and Mi Casa, and even features a posthumous collaboration with Bra Hugh Masekela. Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa have reached the number one and two spots on Spotify’s top streamed artists in South Africa and the work they’ve done on projects such as Mi Casa’s ‘Summer Time’, Samthing Soweto’s ‘Isphithiphithi’ and Mas Musiq’s ‘Mambisa’ album, among others.
