SOCCER – CORRECTIONAL Services side Green Mamba have received a major boost ahead of their clash against Young Buffaloes as they will welcome their three key players, Khethokuhle Mkhontfo, Mxolisi Mkhontfo and Mthunzi ‘Xavi’ Mkhontfo.
The two security forces outfits will lock horns at the Somhlolo National Stadium in pursuit of a semi-final spot in the fifth annual prestigious knockout competition.
Mxolisi, who’s former Malanti Chiefs player, has been out of action for the past two months due to a knee injury.
meanwhile, the two brothers Mthunzi and Khethokuhle missed their club’s recent outing as they were to bereaved.
Another player who is back at training with Inyoka Eluhlalazana, is former Manzini Wanderers defender Sanele Chauke. He has been out of action after sustaining a serious injury.
The club’s Chief Executive Officer, Thami Phakathi, confirmed the presence of the players. “The four players have started training with the team in readiness for the weekend match,” he said.
The Caleb Ngwenya-led charges will be looking to maintain their fine form against Buffaloes after managing to beat the army side by a solitary goal during the two sides’ recent league meeting.
