A2Z COMES OUT OF SHELL

By Nokwanda Sibandze | 2020-01-14

THE music industry is yet to be treated to another music duo called A2Z.

The afro-pop, afro-soul and dance duo set to give the public an eclectic fusion of African sounds. A2Z is a young, hip and dynamic duo made of two vocally gifted musicians from the Kingdom of Eswatini.

Both rising stars, Khethokuhle Sibandze and Melusi Mndzebele, won the hearts of many in the MTN Spotlight Competition a platform created to unearth new talent in Eswatini.

Meeting for the first time during the competition, the pair found musical fire in each other that they loved and instantly knew that they wanted to work together to create something new and fresh for their fans.

The two mentioned they were excited to work together. Khethokuhle, however, is not new in the music industry as she has been singing with the group Harmony Trinity.

Khethokuhle thrills with her versatile, high sound and Melusi soothes with his deep, soulful vibrato.  Merging their voices together, they touched a number of people in the industry who said said they can’t wait to see what the duo had in store.

“A beautiful collaboration of sound between two super talented young artists; A collaborative duo of this kind has  not been seen before in the Kingdom. They are definitely going to take the country by storm,” said Penny Bouwer, an arts enthusiast and artist developer.

“We decided to work together because during The Spotlight Competition, we got along very well and we became good friends and our voices blended well together,” said Melusi.

They said they loved the fact that they both had loud personalities. “We are good friends and we respect each other’s ideas. At the moment ,we have been working on our singles and our brand as A2Z,” said Khethokuhle.

The duo will also be dropping their music this afternoon at 5pm on all music platforms.
