By Melusi Mlotsa | 2019-12-03

SOCCER – YOUNG Buffaloes attacking midfielder Sandile ‘Saviola’ Gamedze is still leading the top goal scorer’s chart with 11 goals despite not finding the back of the net over the weekend.

With two matches remaining before the end of the first round, ‘Saviola’ look set to scoop the first round incentive that carries E6 000.

‘Saviola’ is closely followed by Green Mamba stricker Mcolisi Mkhontfo. The former Mbabane City player scored the only goal when his team beat against Young Buffaloes 1-0, taking his tally to eight goals. Mbabane Swallows lanky striker Sandile Hlatshwako and Moneni Pirates impressive youngster Lizwe Zwane have six goals each. Pigg’s Peak Black Swallows Allen Mabuza and Tambuti FC’s Reagan Kangumbu have five goals in their accounts. The duo is followed by Tony ‘TT’ Tsabedze and Ally Matse, who have four goals. Green Mamba striker Musa Dlamini is the defending champion of the top goal scorer gong after scoring 15 goals last season. The former Mbabane Swallows striker was also crowned the player of the year during the MTN awards held at Royal Swazi Sun.
