LESS INTEREST IN JOINING MISS ESWATINI PAGEANT

MISS Eswatini is not alluring to young girls this year as Pageant Eswatini has received a not impressive number of entrants.

This was confirmed by Pageant Eswatini President Catherine Potgieter.

Potgieter said she could not reveal the numbers of the applications received.

“However, the applications are still open and we encourage more people to sign up for the pageant,” said Potgieter.

She also said deadline of the application is on October 16.

Platforms

She also invited aspiring girls who wish to represent their regions, to participate in the top-most pageant by visiting their offices and social media platforms to get more details on how to join the biggest beauty contest in the country.

The entry form for Miss Eswatini costs E100 and those interested to join should be between the ages of 18 and 24.

The aspiring contestants should not be married nor have tattoos inked on any part of their bodies.

Crowning

The president also said as soon as they have communicated with the relevant coordinators, they would be able to give the public more information in terms of what will happen next with the pageant.

Potgieter also said they will meet with the committee this week to discuss when and where the crowning would take place.

“We will have every detail after our meeting this week. We have not met as a committee for a while but we will surely conclude everything this week,” she said.

The Miss Eswatini title is currently held by Nosipho Dlamini.
